John O’Trakoun will virtually present his analysis of the major trends affecting US growth, employment, and inflation.

About our Speaker:
John O’Trakoun is a senior policy economist in the Research Department of the Richmond Fed. His primary role is tracking the national economic data and contributing to the Bank’s monetary policymaking process. He is the author of the Richmond Fed’s Macro Minute blog, and a frequent contributor to the Bank’s Speaking of the Economy podcast.
Before joining in September 2020, O’Trakoun was a senior economist at Ford Motor Company, where he analyzed and forecasted economic trends and their impact on the automotive industry. Previously, he was a senior economist in international affairs and trade at the U.S. Government Accountability Office. He also served as a teaching fellow in economics at Boston College, where he earned his doctorate and master’s degree. Learn more here.
