‘Housing’s New Normal and How We’re Tracking It’ – Danielle Hale, Realtor.com

October 15, 2020 @ 12:00 pm 1:00 pm

The COVID-19 pandemic brought the economy to a grinding halt. As recovery gets underway, housing is leading the way, but that doesn’t necessarily mean all is well. Danielle Hale, Chief Economist for realtor.com, will review recent housing market trends with an eye on challenges for buyers and sellers in today’s market. She’ll use data to address questions that are top of mind for market participants as well as researchers: Is now a good time to buy and a bad time to sell? Are housing markets fully recovered from the effects of the pandemic? Are some markets more recovered than others? Are people really fleeing cities for the suburbs? In addition to these answers, some of which may surprise you, you’ll find a roadmap for freely available housing data to power your own professional and personal research.

REGISTRATION IS OPEN! A link to the webinar will be sent prior to the event (by 11am EST, 10/15) to those who sign up. Registration will be open until 12pm, Thursday, October 15, 2020. You should receive a confirmation email after registering. If not, contact the NEC for that or any other questions at manager@national-economists.org.
