5/26/22 NEC Webinar: ‘Fiscal Policy in a Time of High Inflation’ with Marc Goldwein, CRFB
May 26, 2022 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
‘Fiscal Policy in a Time of High Inflation’ with Marc Goldwein, Senior Vice President and Senior Policy Director, Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget (CRFB)
Date: Thursday, May 26
Time: 12pm to 1pm EST
The United States is currently experiencing the highest rate of inflation in four decades, with excessive fiscal stimulus at least partly to blame. While the Federal Reserve bears the primary responsibility for bringing inflation back under control, they may be unable to navigate the proverbial “soft landing” on their own. In these unique circumstances, it may be desirable for fiscal policy to assist monetary policy in its efforts to stabilize price levels, while also addressing our high and rising national debt.
Please Note: The link to the webinar will come in the ticket email. If you do not receive a ticket email or the event link by 11am the day of the event, please contact the NEC for that or any other questions at manager@national-economists.org.
