This talk will hear from American Bankers Association (ABA’s) Senior Director and economist, Daniel Brown, where he will discuss current risks and opportunities in the banking sector and how the industry has evolved amid unprecedented technological and economic shifts in recent years.

About our speaker:
Daniel Brown is Senior Director and Economist at the American Bankers Association (ABA), where he plays a central role in shaping the organization’s economic research agenda. His portfolio focuses on commercial real estate, the housing market, and bank liquidity.
Before joining ABA, Daniel served as a Regulatory Economist at the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy. He also served as a professional staff member on Capitol Hill with the House Committee on Small Business, contributing to legislative and regulatory initiatives affecting small firms.
Outside of work, Daniel is an active member of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE). He earned the Certified Business Economist (CBE) designation and currently serves on the NABE CBE Steering committee and a co-chair of NABE’s Finance Roundtable.
He holds a Master of Arts in Applied Economics from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Notre Dame. Most recently, Daniel completed the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, held at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.
