Website National Association for Business Economics
The National Association for Business Economics (NABE) seeks an Associate Director, Economic Surveys and Programs to play a central role in designing and delivering our many of our most mission-critical offerings.
Founded in 1959, NABE is the premier professional association for business economists and others who use economics in the workplace. Despite the recent limitations of the COVID-19 pandemic, the NABE community is thriving, and membership recently reached a 20-year high. Join our growing team!
The Associate Director will oversee NABE’s economic surveys and assist in the planning and execution of webinars and conference sessions on key topics at the nexus of business, economics, and policy. The Associate Director reports to the Executive Director and engages frequently with the NABE Board of Directors and board-level committees which includes many of the nation’s leading corporate economists.
The Associate Director manages NABE’s member-driven survey research committees and leads our survey team which includes our press officer, copy editor, research firm, and graphic designer. The Associate Director facilitates the survey process from start to finish including questionnaire design, data collection, and public dissemination of NABE’s Outlook Survey, Business Conditions Survey, Policy Survey, and Salary Survey. NABE’s surveys are highly anticipated by markets and frequently referenced by media and, as such, it is critical that they are relevant, accurate, and remain embargoed until official release times.
The Associate Director also plays an important role in NABE’s six annual economics conferences and frequent webinars, assisting member-driven committees with speaker recruitment and coordination and in the planning and production of the events and sessions. Speakers at NABE events include Federal Reserve and White House officials, Fortune 500 CEOs and business leaders, and prominent economists from business, academia, and think tanks.
Coordinate NABE Outlook, Business Conditions, Policy, and Salary Surveys.
Collaborate with survey chairs and committees to finalize survey questionnaires for placement on the Survey Monkey platform. Circulate survey to respondents, follow up to ensure solid response.

Facilitate planning and execution of NABE’s periodic Zoom-based webinars, including pre-planning, speaker orientation, and event management.
Assist Executive Director and conference planning committees with speaker recruitment and pre-conference planning and orientation.
Join the rest of the NABE team for our all-hands execution of conferences and events (These are actually pretty fun!).
